Park Trek 2020 - Flag Ponds

Location: Flag Ponds Nature Park

Explore Calvert County's amazing natural diversity by joining the naturalists on a daily hike each day highlighting one of our local county parks.  Come for just one hike or hike them all.

Routes are not stroller-friendly.  Friendly dogs on leashes welcome.

If you hike them all, you'll receive a Park Trek 2020 certificate of completion. 

Today's Trek will be about 3  miles.

Advanced Reservations are required. No walk ins allowed

Park Trek 2020 Schedule (you must register for each day separately):

Monday, July 6 - Ward Farm  

Tuesday, July 7 - Kings Landing Park

Wednesday, July 8 - Biscoe Gray Heritage Park

Thursday, July 9 - Flag Ponds Nature Park

Friday, July 10 - Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

COVID Policies and Procedures 

All participants over the age of 2 (including parents) must wear a mask when social distancing is not possible. Participants must provide their own masks.

The Calvert Nature Society has developed policies and procedures for public program operations based on state and CDC guidelines. 

Please consider the safety, health, and well-being of all participants in our programs and stay home if the participant is ill. Full refunds will be given for cancellations due to health concerns. 

Prior to participation in any Society sponsored program,  we will ask each individual, to if under 18 a parent, to complete a participant waiver.

Please download and complete the waiver prior to the program. You may complete it online and email to CypressSwamp@CalvertCountyMD.gov, or print it and bring to  the program.  The waiver only needs to be completed once per year.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
