18 months - 5 years, adult participation required

Help the naturalist plant seeds and seedlings to attract caterpillars and butterflies to the gardens around the nature center.  Bring gloves and kid-friendly digging tools (optional).

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp

Reservations are required by Wednesday, May 9. 

Program Fee:  Free.

This project is part of our Calvert Stewards volunteer program, providing families an opportunity to contribute to our efforts to improve habitat and help with various park projects.

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
