All ages, adult participation required

Learn how your family can help monarch butterflies. After a short presentation and hands-on activities, you will venture outside to plant seeds and practice netting techniques. Please pre-register for one of the three sessions offered throughout the day.  If you are interested in watching the 40-minute film Flight of the Monarchs,  it will be shown between Sessions 2 & 3 from 12:30-1:15pm.  You're welcome to bring a lunch to eat during the movie.

Location: Kings Landing Park

Reservations are required by Thursday, September 28. 

Program Fee (please pre-pay since staff will not have a way to make change on-site):  
Free for Society members
$8 per family for nonmembers

 

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
