Registration is closed
For Ages 6 to 9
Adult participation is required

The meadow is buzzing with activity as insects prepare for winter.  We'll have containers and nets on hand for your children to borrow so that they can have fun catching and releasing meadow bugs.  If you are lucky enough to catch a monarch butterfly, you can even help the naturalist tag it. 

Location: Battle Creek Cypress Swamp  

Naturalist in charge: Shannon Steele

Reservations are required by Thursday, September 22. 

Program Fee:
Free for Society members
$8 per family for nonmembers

The schedule of events is subject to changed based on the status of the coronavirus response, weather, staffing, and other situations that may arise. If Calvert Nature Society or Calvert County Natural Resources Division cancels a program, a full refund will be issued.
